Mica & Marc’s Happy Puppy-Lovey Playground Engagement
I’m very excited to show you the following e-session because it features the creative talents of Philippine-based photography studio Mango Red and, as you will see very soon, the wonderful chemistry and boundless energy of beautiful couple Mica and Marc.
Mica is another bride I know in real life — we met many years ago through our common friends in the ad industry — so I’m delighted for the opportunity to share her and then-fiance-now-husband Marc’s AWESOME engagement photos.
Aren’t they adorable? Let’s get to know the twosome a bit more.
Mica worked as a copywriter in advertising for years and is also a make-up artist, fashion model, and newly-minted rebellious wedding consultant. Marc currently works for a bank but he used to play in a band and was a member of Kundirana, La Salle Greenhills’ singing and dancing choir. Mica fondly adds that her hubby also loves to play basketball (which is probably why the couple got married in a basketball court! You’ll see their fantastic wedding here soon.)
We’re both very fun-loving people (to the point of being kiddie). We also like going on adventures and making up words. Like, we say “olive juice” or OJ instead of “I love you.”
After hearing that, could holding an engagement pictorial in a playground be more perfect for these two?
More from Mica:
For the engagement session, we stumbled upon Mango Red by fate. Marc and I were in Kai and Cy’s Bora Hop wedding when Mango Red asked us if we wanted to do a prenup shoot with them (in the same tonality that a neighborhood playmate asks to come play tag or hopscotch). We couldn’t possibly say no!
Mango Red let us come up with the concept. We thought of “Love Play” because we just wanted to just have fun and for our photos to have a playful puppy love vibe. Marc collects vinyl toys (one more reason why we ended up getting married in Ronac Art Center) so we used some and decided to just play games children play! Out came some longboards and a kite and balloons and a trampoline and other fun props! We shot for 2 days. Day 1 was shot in Boni High Street and Salcedo Park. Day 2 was sponsored by Parallax Studio.
This was a collaborative effort between us and Mango Red and we’re so happy to have been given that opportunity
