Jennifer & Robbie’s Vintage Bike and Soda Pop Picnic Engagement

What could be more fitting for a Valentine’s Day post than a fun, flirty, and absolutely darling engagement session? Adorable couple Jennifer and Robbie had a pastel-pretty vintage-inspired shoot that comes complete with playful retro props like colorful balloons, lollipops, a bicycle, and a lime green minibus to reflect the whimsy of the ’50s and ’60s.

Jennifer and Robbie approached me with some really great basic ideas for their engagement shoot. They knew they wanted something romantic, something sweet, something elegant yet playful too! We let the thoughts simmer and eventually came up with a whimscal, vintage-style session. It really showed their relationship at its cutest, with the way they teased each other and those loving smiles that just never ended. We had some super fun props as well! The old vintage bicycle and the colorful balloons added a sense of whimsy and pops of vibrant color to the day, as well as the sweetness and intimacy their soda pop picnic brought. These two were SO much fun to work with! They brought such life and energy to their shoot, and all around everyone was thrilled with the end result!

Blushing bride-to-be Jennifer is also here to tell us more about how she and Robbie met:

Robbie and I met online and after a few clever and cute emails I decided to let him take me out. One date turned into several dates which turned into him proposing to me in Charleston, SC a year and a half later. We will be together three years in August and can’t wait to spend the next 70 plus years together.

Megan did a fantastic job on our engagment shoot. I have to give her most of the credit for the concept. Robbie & I consider ourselves fun, laid back and always interested in trying something different.  We met Megan at Starbucks, she asked us a few questions and the next thing you know coffee conversation turned into pictures that showcase our personalities!

I couldn’t agree more. These shots are beyond cute!
