A Gypsy Chic Springtime Bridal Shower Inspiration Shoot

This lovely bridal shower inspiration shoot from Rome, Italy is positively brimming with whimsical details and springtime gloriousness. I know you will love the contrast between the sweet, romantic elements and the rock and roll vibe from the bride’s hot pink hair, makeup & styling, and the black damask lace embellishments that dot the little tea party. An adorable little girl and her handsome black kitty serve as bridal shower guests, adding a fairy tale wonderland mood to the event.

This charming styled shoot was sent in by Italian photographer Fibre di Luce who had this to say about the event:

A countryside early spring bridal shower amidst wild flowers and olive trees. A bride setting up a tea table for her bridesmaids with berries and cupcakes — colorful infusions in a “gypsy chic” scenery with great atmosphere. She’s a modern bride waiting for her guests with her adorable little girl having bucolic times of intimacy. The bride’s style is a fusion of classic and rock and roll, from her romantic fairytale dress to the “rocker gypsy” styling of her hair and make up and accessories. Black and hot pink details breaks the classic ivory elegance, and a small wildflowers bouquet adds a whimsical touch. Lots of DIY were incorporated for the stationery and table details (we spent approximately US$15 for the entire stationery suite!)

Our bride is actually a professional wedding planner, putting herself in a bride’s shoes as an original way to show the way she plans, designs, and “lives” an event. She’s also a working mom and that’s why her lovely daughter fits perfectly into the shoot.

The styled shoot was designed by Simona De Marco (Fairytale WP) as a designer, bride and model. Make-up and hair was styled by Simona herself. The secondhand dress was bought from a little local tailor shop. Stationery was designed by Luciana Ognibene (Fibre di Luce).
