Tara & Matt’s Vintage Chic Americana Wedding (Part 2)
Hello and welcome to part 2 of Tara & Matt’s vintage chic Americana wedding! Last Friday, I showed you their touching and meaningful ceremony. Today you are going to witness the relaxed and laid-back reception party that took place afterwards.
Don’t you just love this gorgeous couple’s style? Photographer Chloe Moore, who captured every unique detail and precious moment beautifully, is here to tell us more about what went on at the party:
At Wright Ranch, there was a vintage pick-up truck and motorcycle, antique frames, a photobooth, Edison bulbs suspended above the tables, croquet and horseshoes, and so much more. Many of the decorations came straight from the groom’s personal collection (check out his store in LaBrea)
Friends and family gathered around a bonfire as the night got chillier and Matt’s sister, Micah, sang “At Last” for the couple’s first dance. Tara’s mom put together a slide show to enjoy by the bonfire and after the cake-cutting, there was much toasting, roasting, and well-wishing for the couple.
Lovely bride Tara is back to share what they did to make their wedding 100% their own:
Since we were on a budget, we did a lot of DIY projects for the wedding which kept things really personalized. We actually went to the RoseBowl flea market and found lots of the Mason Jars and center pieces for our tables. Also, fun vintage games like horseshoes and croquet were a hit for the kids at the wedding. My mother-in-law, Kimme and her friend Kim, did all of tabletop flowers.
Get ready with your virtual pins because here’s a load of chic and eclectic vintage awesomeness!
Didn’t I tell you the details were awesome? I just love the mix of diverse patterns, textures and elements!
I thought lighting the bonfire during the ceremony to remember Matt’s dad by was such a lovely, touching gesture, and I love how it also kept the guests wonderfully warm as the night got chillier.
Such a sweet shot of the twosome. Tara has some helpful advice for all of you who are still in the midst of wedding planning:
A bit of advice I’d give to other future brides is don’t sweat the small stuff. Get a list together and put the most important things at the top and check them off as you go about planning. Also, people will have lots of opinions about how your wedding should be but remember that it’s your day. Lastly take time to enjoy the day, it goes by so fast.
Oh and one more thing, I highly recommend having a photo booth, it was a blast at our wedding.
Again, thank you so much Chloe for sharing your spectacular photos, and congratulations Tara and Matt! Thank you for allowing us a VIP pass into your special day.
