Megan & Josh’s Red Hot & Romantic Fire Truck Engagement
Today we have a romantic e-session shared by Indiana-based Mandy Leonards Photography. Bride-to-be Megan is a music teacher while her sweetie Josh is a fireman — hence the awesome antique red fire truck they chose as a backdrop for their love. The lovely couple also loves the outdoors and I thought having their shoot with the fire truck against a nature setting as opposed to an urban one gave the photos an unexpected twist, don’t you agree? So without further ado, please enjoy the eye candy!
Aww, there’s absolutely no doubt that these two are crazy for each other! How about we find out how their love began? Take it away, Megan!
Josh and I met a year from the day of our engagement session with Mandy. We met at the Tim McGraw through mutual friends. We did not begin dating for another month or two after we met. Josh and I knew very quickly that we loved each other and wanted to get married. Josh asked me to marry him on June 8, 2012. He began the evening by taking me to a the House of Tokyo for dinner. This was significant because this was the place of our first date. After we ate dinner we went to Cordry Lake and went out on my parent’s boat. Since my birthday was only 5 days away Josh told me that he wanted to take me out for my birthday. We went out on the boat and watched the sunset. Once the sun was set Josh told me that he had a birthday gift for me. he told me that he had bought us two stars in the sky, one named after me, and one after him. He then gave me a bag with a second gift inside. When I opened it I found two origami’s that I thought I had lost long ago. We were given these two origami’s on our first date by our waiter at the House of Tokyo and I thought I had thrown them away with my leftovers on accident, but I had left them in his car and he kept them all this time. Next, Josh got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We sat out on the boat for a bit and talked and listened to music, then headed in towards dock. As we approached the dock, there were floating Chinese lanterns in the sky that my family was setting off from the dock. Josh knew that I would want my family there so he invited them to meet us down there.
Megan’s back with a few details about the shoot:
This e-session was “us” because we incorporated the firetruck into the photo shoot and Josh is a fireman. Josh is also very into antiques. It is a hobby that he shares with his parents who own an antique store. The firetruck used in the photo shoot was an antique truck. In addition, we both love spending time outside during the summer so our shoot took advantage of the beauty outside.
Thank you so much Mandy for sending your beautiful images my way and congratulations on your engagement, Megan & Josh! Have fun with the wedding planning!
