Aubrey & Mark’s 1920s Flapper Style Wedding
Welcome to another week of funky wedding inspiration. Today we have a 1920s themed wedding — complete with flapper dresses, feathered headbands, and classy art deco paperie — to feast our eyes on! This chock-full of vintage inspiration celebration was sent in by Matt and Jentry: Photographers who had the following to say about lovely couple Aubrey and Mark’s special day:
The bride and groom planned their wedding for over a year, and everything came together so gracefully and beautifully. The bride and her bridesmaids toiled for hours, adding beads to half the flapper dresses by hand — all to make the dresses look as realistically close to true flapper dresses as possible on a budget. The bride also created her own brooch bouquet, and employed the help of family and friends to create the rest of the floral arrangements.
Matt and Jentry not only photographed this super fun wedding but also designed the art deco-inspired save the dates, wedding invites, table numbers, escort cards and wedding programs.
Photographers Matt and Jentry fills us in on what happened that day:
The tone of the day was relaxed and fun. The father of the bride even walked her down the aisle with a fake tommy gun, and all the bridesmaids and groomsmen danced 20’s jigs while coming down the aisle before the bride. The fun coming down the aisle was followed by an emotionally moving ceremony and the reception that followed was a pure party.
Matt and Jentry adds:
Guests out on the dance floor even adorned props from the photobooth! It was a tasteful themed wedding that we were so proud to capture for this outgoing bride and groom!
Thank you Matt and Jentry for sharing this beautiful wedding with all of us, and congratulations to the couple! 🙂
