Amy & Michael’s Renaissance Steampunk-themed Wedding

steampunk renaissance wedding

Happy Friday, everyone! Today we have a wedding that looks like it came straight out of the pages of a fairy tale book! Amy and Michael had dreamed of a wedding that blended Renaissance, Medieval and Steampunk elements and, through the able direction of La Boheme Events and Shawna Yamamoto Event Design, it totally came true. They incorporated steampunk clocks and gears in the bridesmaid’s book bouquets and cocktail hour decor. Renaissance flags flew above the event, along with a custom made 5-foot tall shield in the client’s custom coat of arms.  A moss-covered dragon guarded the escort card flags, and the Hollywood Castle was a perfect setting.  Each feasting table created a lush, fair-like medieval setting for a Renaissance feast.  Even the guests came dressed in their Medieval best!

I’m grateful to photographer Amelia Strauss of Bound By for sending me her spectacular photos of this awesome wedding and here they are without further ado… Enjoy!

  1. This wedding is so fun! I love it 🙂 Those seating cards are the coolest.

  2. What fun! Themed weddings always add a bit to the excitement of the day in my humble opinion. As a professional wedding photographer in Florida, my husband Brian Idocks and I have been lucky enough to photograph a few. Two in particular come to mind in regards to this one. Rachel and Mathew at Castle Otttis and Jamielee and Eric at Brooker Creek. Look them up on our blog if you are interested to see more themed wedding photography. Great job to the team of vendors on Amy and Michael’s wedding! 🙂
