Kelly & Gary’s Rainbow-Hued Ice Cream-Flavored Retro Pop Wedding
This colorful wedding brought a smile to my face the first time I saw it because if there’s any wedding that could visually define the word “poptastic”, this is it. Kelly & Gary’s Lancashire wedding was at a traditional Tudor manor but their celebration was anything but traditional!
Kelly (who happens to be a singer) rocked the retro look complete with fifties style red pumps and a big bow in her hair; Gary meanwhile was dashing in a light colored suit, red bow tie and a great big sunflower buttonhole to match his lovely bride’s sunflower bouquet. The venue was decorated with retro-pop awesomeness — colorful round paper lanterns, vinyl record plates, rubber duckies & other nostalgic toys, cupcakes adorned with sugar icing in the form of tattoo hearts & cute buttons, and tons more fun details accented with funky prints, stripes and polka dots. A VW camper van transported the couple & bridal party from the hotel to the venue, and a vintage ice cream truck provided refreshments before the reception.
To top it all off, they filmed a spoof video with the family and guests to The Proclaimers’ “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” throughout the day — just how fun was that? We have Laimonas Stasiulis of Lovestruck Wedding Photography (see his previously featured work) to thank for all the wonderful photos. Please enjoy!
Thank you Laimonas for sharing your lovely photos of this absolutely delightful celebration! Congratulations to the couple!
