Lourdes & Peter’s Nautical-themed World Yacht Wedding

Happy Monday everyone! I’ve already featured celebrations held in alternative wedding venues before and tofay I’m delighted to share a sweet and intimate wedding that was held aboard a yacht!  We have Toni Skotcher Photography to thank for the pretty pictures and here she is with the deets on the couple and the event:

Peter and Lourdes are one of my favorite couples from 2012! They both have this wonderful energy just bursting out of them, it would be impossible to not have a good time when in their company! They are like watching a romantic comedy play out live in front of you! Their intimate ceremony and reception were both held on a yacht, It was a perfect day for a float along the Hudson,  the boat took us around Manhattan as we celebrated their love, we had views of the city skyline and Statue of Liberty!  I feel so lucky to have played a small part in a truly amazing day.

Lourdes is here to talk about their wedding + how she and Peter met:

We met through mutual friends. We actually knew about each other months before we actually met. We finally met on 6/27/08 and have been together ever since. Our wedding was very small and intimate. Our wedding had a nautical theme – it was held on a yacht.

The nautical theme is present in their DIY details which Lourdes and Peter created themselves:

We took the time to make the invitations, place cards, menu cards ourselves.

We also had a personalized cake topper (bride & groom looked like us and included our dog) and cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake.

A few words of advice from the lovely couple:

Planning a wedding can be very stressful, but you need to take a step back to remember why you are doing this. The memories of your wedding day will last a lifetime!
