Carissa & Austin’s Hot Pink and Cobalt Blue DIY Wedding with 1001 Paper Cranes
Did you have a lovely weekend, dear readers? I hope you crafty DIY brides are in a pinning mood today because the wedding I’m sharing is just brimming with gorgeous and creative handmade details that the beautiful bride made herself! The fab Kelley and Kim of San Diego-based Studio Sequoia, responsible for the pretty photos (as well as these previous features), has the full story on this event:
Carissa and Austin had their wedding day at the beautiful Leo Carillo ranch in California. Carissa was a very crafty DIY bride, she made an amazing 1,001 handmade colorful paper cranes to hang at her wedding in the ceremony space as well as the reception space. She also made fun and colorful table center pieces and folded ornamental paper circles to hang in the ceremony space. I have shot a lot of weddings but the ceremony space for their wedding was out of this world! The cranes were hung down as if floating on the tree where they said vows (they were in long stands attached to fishing line) as well as the paper circles, both in the tree and on guest chairs in the aisle. Carissa and Austin were beaming with nothing but smiles all night long, family and friends gathered with them and celebrated all night long among the 1,001 paper cranes that flew among them.
Thank you to Kelley & Kim for sending this wonderful wedding my way and congratulations to the couple!
