Amber & Clayton’s Bright Walls, Balloons, and Baseballs E-session

Today’s e-session will surely bring a smile to your face as it did to mine the day I first saw it in my inbox because Amber and Clayton are just so adorable together! I also love the fact that it only took something as simple as bright solid-color wall backdrops to come up with delightful shots that showcase the couple’s playful sides. Baseball is also a big part of their lives as Clayton used to play it so they ended their session in a baseball field, complete with jerseys, balls, and a glove.

We have Heather Sanderson Photography (who, incidentally, went to high school with both of them) to thank for the delightful images. Please enjoy!

Unfortunately I couldn’t reach the lovely bride-to-be but photographer Heather has kindly provided us with details about the e-session:

This engagement session was one of my very favorite engagement sessions I have ever done. One reason why is because I went to high school with both the bride to be and the groom to be.Amber (bride to be) was one of my very best friends in high school and we even won a state championship in basketball together in 2006.

For their session I wanted it to be different than all of my other sessions. I always get my couples to fill out a questionnaire before we do the session, so I can try and incorporate their interests into the session. The first place we went was a bright blue wall and turquoise wall. Amber has the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen, so I knew this location would be amazing with her eyes.

The next place we went was a red/pink wall. At this location we used bright balloons so show their playful side and they also wore black for a more dressy look.

Then we went to a huge field with lots of trees across from the windmill museum and this place is amazing. I wanted to use some more props so I brought a quilt with bright colors and this turned out awesome because it kept the couple warm. I also made a sign with their wedding date on it and used a sweetheart sticker that says forever. I also brought a pink chalkboard arrow and we put “Future Mrs. Cooper”.

The last place we went was Lubbock Cooper High School’s baseball field. We got to get in there because Amber is a coach at Cooper, so we got to take amazing pictures at the baseball field. This field was awesome because it had turf and was so green!!! The baseball pictures were the most important because Clayton played baseball all throughout high school and even went on and played baseball in college and overseas. He was an amazing pitcher and I was so happy we got to incorporate baseball into their engagement pictures. One of my very favorite pictures is their wedding date with the baseballs and glove.
