Stacie & Alex’s Bright and Happy Lemon Yellow and Grey Beach Wedding

Happy funky wedding-inspiration-filled Monday, friends! What better way is there to begin a new week than with a fun beach wedding? Stacie and Alex are just so adorably in love and they wanted to celebrate that on a beach where everyone can have fun. They chose the Tides Collocated Club which provided gorgeous photo ops and incorporated charming chalkboard messages + grey and lemony-yellow details which gave the celebration a bright and happy vibe.

Here’s Harmony Lynn Photography, responsible for the beautiful photos, to tell you more about their day:

Stacie and Alex were super fun to photograph! Stacie chose a vibrant yellow as her accent color which really popped at her beach venue. She DIYd all of the adorable chalk board signage. It was an emotional love filled day. They didn’t see each other until Stacie walked down the aisle but held hands pre-ceremony between a doorway as their friends said prayers over them. I especially loved the brooch detail on the bridal bouquet and the tall table arrangements filled with lemons!

How cute is this photo? I will leave you with the lovely Stacie who’s here to tell you more about her and Alex and their wedding:

Alex and I met our freshmen year in college. He was the tall basketball player and I was the short volleyball player. We started dating the beginning spring semester of freshmen year. He is my best friend and love of my life. We dated for four years before we got married.

We wanted our wedding to be fun but simple. I saw yellow and grey themed weddings and fell in love with the colors right away. Alex and I both love the beach that when we found our venue we fell in love with it. As we planned the wedding we kept saying that we want our guests to have fun because we know it will be fun for us. So our goal was to make sure everyone had as much fun as we did.

Alex and I both wanted to write our own vows. This was our way of personalizing our special day.  Along with writing our vows Alex told me that he wanted us to make not just vows to each other but promises. So at the end of our vows we stated what we wanted to promise each other. We also had Alex‘s sisters and brother-in-law sing our first dance song. They did such a great job and it is a great memory now that we can share with them.

My advice to brides would be, have fun! Enjoy every moment of not just your special day but also the planning process. Planning can get stressful at times but just take a moment to breath and then remember, you’re planning your wedding! Don’t forget to enjoy the little moments like dancing with your mom or jumping up and down with your bridesmaids after they see you in your dress for the first time. Every little moment counts so don’t get bogged down with stress. Once you see your groom at the end of the aisle looking back at you, you wont remember the stress, just pure bliss.
