Michelle & Bradley’s Dreamy and Cinematic Tim Burton-inspired E-Session
Michelle and Bradley are quite the artistic pair — they met in art class many years ago, she’s into photography, and they like watching “weird shows and movies”. It was a given that they would do something quite offbeat for their e-session which ended up being this artistic, beautifully photographed Tim Burton inspired e-session.
We have Daniel Lanton with Darkershadesofbrown Photography to thank for the awesome submission. Please enjoy.
About the couple in the lovely Michelle’s own words:
Brad and I met in a painting class at Pocono mountain high school. The attraction was immediate and apparently obvious to everyone, especially our meddlesome teacher who liked to tell us that we’d make a good couple, but I was in a relationship at the time so we became good friends over the course of several months. Then, literally the morning after that other relationship ended, I go in to school all excited to tell him, only to find that he just started dating someone. And it’s like, cue the sad trombone: wah-wah. It would be another agonizing 2 years before we finally got together. Well worth the wait. Now I get to share my life with my soul mate and best friend. We will be married in two weeks, and then in June we will celebrate our 10th year together!
We celebrate every June by going camping as much as possible. We love hiking, fishing, berry picking, BBQ afternoons with friends, gardening and all sorts of nature-y things. When we have to stay inside we snuggle on the couch with our cute orange kitty cat Ichigo, play video games, have profound existential discussions and watch weird shows and movies.
On their e-session:
The engagement session was so much fun. We frequently visit cemetery sites in the fall for my own photographic pursuits, but the first site where Daniel brought us was more beautiful and perfect than I could have imagined. We continued on to our picnic by the lake.. A PA state park setting is very appropriate for us, as that is where we spend our free time camping. One of my favorite shots shows us from a distance, walking along the stream in Jim Thorpe, with the mountainside behind. Those peaceful moments spent walking hand in hand… Yeah, that’s what we live for. All in all, the e-session just showed us doing what we always do… Except this time in fancy Victorian dress and not jeans and t-shirts.
Huge thanks to Daniel for sending his gorgeous photos my way, and congratulations Michelle and Brad! I wish you a lifetime of married bliss. 🙂
