Lindsay & Jesse’s Colorful and Quirky DUMBO / Brooklyn Bridge E-session
How adorable are Lindsay and Jesse? And don’t you just love how their outfits are perfectly coordinated with one another’s? Jesse is a lawyer by day and a music writer by night. Lindsay, meanwhile is an eyeglass aficionado who has 80 different pairs of glasses,a couple of which you’ll see in this shoot. You’ll notice that she’s even wearing an awesome eyeglass-print dress in some of the photos. That sense of fun and quirkiness in their characters was well-matched by their choice of photo locations — the colorful, street-art-filled streets of DUMBO which was going to be the site of their wedding…
I have to mention here that when I received this submission, the couple had told me that they were excited for their upcoming celebration in DUMBO’s reBar BUT — very unfortunately — they, along with roughly 100 other couples, were shocked to discover on Friday that the venue had closed its doors without warning. Jesse writes: “As far as anyone can tell, the owner has absconded with our money and left us holding the bag”.
Ugh. Just awful. You can read up more on the story at the Gothamist.
I hope you get your money back, Lindsay & Jesse and I do wish you’ll be able to find a new and much better venue.
These two had a really rough weekend but, at the end of the day, they are just happy to be together and it completely shows in these beautiful images taken by BG Productions Photography and Videography.
All about the lovely couple in Jesse’s own words:
Lindsay is a eyewear enthusiast and evangelist, with 80 pairs of glasses and counting in her personal collection; you can find her at Surreal Eyewear, outfitting New Yorkers and visitors alike in the worlds most fashionable, fashion-forward frames (a few of which are featured in our e-session!) I am a lawyer by day; by evening, I write about music. My work has been featured in magazines and websites like Alternative Press and PropertyOfZack.com. At night, it’s equally likely that Lindsay and I are at a venue catching a show, or cooking dinner together in our Queens apartment.
Learn more about them in their wedding website.
I think the e-session captured a lot of what’s great about our relationship — the joy, silliness, laughter and love. The photos were all taken in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn and they really showcase what’s so wonderful and unique about the city we love and call home.
Huge thanks to Cathie for sending this gorgeous shoot my way, and congratulations on your engagement Lindsay and Jesse! Again, I hope you guys will be able to find a new venue quickly!
*If any of you readers have suggestions for a replacement venue, please don’t hesitate to leave a note below and I’ll make sure it gets to the couple.
