Christine & Jay’s Artistic and Edgy Train Engagement Session
Except for the gazebo which was the site of their proposal, Christine and Jay did not have any specific area in mind for their e-session and left the shoot to the capable hands & cinematic eye of BG Productions Photography and Videography‘s Cathie and Al. It turned out to be a wonderful decision because as you can see they ended up with striking and artistic photographs that captured their love.
Here’s Cathie with the rest of the story:
Without any planning this sessions seemed to turn into a “train” theme! LOL! Honestly- it was planned at all. Al and I met up with Christine and Jay in New Hope without any specific destination in mind! Thats the best. We did make the first stop the gazebo where Jay proposed. He led Chrissy blindfolded to the gazebo where he had a picnic all laid out! How SWEET is that!!
After a bit we found the first of our trains. I do LOVE trains!! So it was fitting that we of course had to climb under the yellow rope to get some cool images on the Ivyland Tain — shhhh! lol! We wondered some more and found an old track with all these gorgeous flower bushes that made for an awesome backdrop! Of course my favorite train was the graffiti train with all the over grown weeds!!
We had met up with a friend of theirs who showed us down a path that we actually had never gone that far!! We went out on the damn where this tree had fallen over it- and it was so beautiful. We a fun and inspiring day. Just walking, and talking, and exploring, and of course taking photos! we are totally excited for their May 2015 wedding at Peddlers Village.
Just how gorgeous are these photos? I’m also happy to say that the lovely Christine is here to tell you more about her & Jay and the shoot:
Jay is a manager at a tech support company and I am an underwriting assistant for an insurance company. We’ve been together for 3 years but have known each other for about 7 through mutual friends.
Our session took place up in New Hope, Pa. New Hope is a very special place for us! This is where we had our first date and where Jay proposed to me. We thought it would be the perfect place to take the pictures. We knew we wanted them in that area but had no set idea on what exactly we wanted. Cat and Al were great and had so many cool ideas! They made the session so much fun and laid back.
We started off at the gazebo where Jay proposed then to the train station and then we went to the wing dam which is right across the bridge in Lambertville, NJ. While walking to the wing dam, we found an abandoned train and thought it would be a cool place to take pictures as well.
Huge thanks as always to Cathie & BG Productions for the beautiful images, and congratulations Christine and Jay! Happy wedding planning! 🙂
