Amanda & Jason’s Sun-kissed Campground Wedding
Amanda and Jason had a picture-perfect sunrise wedding with rustic DIYed elements on a campground! The stunning photos on this page are courtesy of Lauren Lindley Photography and here she is with the rest of the story:
When Amanda first contacted me for her wedding and wrote that the ceremony time was 7 AM, I thought it was a typo. It was not.Amanda wanted a sunrise wedding at one of her favorite places in the world: a country campground in Markleeville, CA. She was adamant that despite the early hour, the chance of early season snow, and the cold, that she was going to be married when she wanted. which was, without question, during sunrise. I eagerly agreed – who is every going to hire me for a sunrise wedding at a campground in the middle of the country every again?
Her wedding was absolutely stunning – perfect light, friends and family wrapped in big coats and giant camp blankets. There was coffee in percolators with all the fun things that adults like to imbibe in to add to it. Her friends and family rose in the wee hours of the morning to cook vats of eggs for breakfast burritos and decorate the folding chairs and camp tables in the dark.
The light was unbelievably gorgeous and this DIY wedding on a budget was more breathtaking than some of the bigger ones I’ve ever had the good fortune to photograph.
Huge thanks to Lauren for sending this us wedding my way, and congratulations to Amanda and Jason!
