Laetitia & Nicolas’ Charming and Playful Palais-Royal E-session

I got giddy with excitement the moment I saw talented French photographer Jean-Laurent Gaudy’s superbly art-directed photos of a charming engagement session at Palais-Royal in Paris, and I am delighted to be able to share them with you today!

Jean-Laurent, proprietor of Un+Un Photographie shares that art director Laeitia is a mischievous lass who is into the “going green” trend. Her fiance Nicolas is an engineer and is very much into retro gaming and other geekery. The following session was a great way for the très adorable couple to celebrate their engagement and have beautiful pictures to remember this important phase in their life together by.

The courtyard of the Palais-Royal was unusually almost empty that day, allowing the couple a fantastic opportunity to be photographed twirling around the graphic black and white striped pillars that make up the Colonnes de Buren. This side of the Palais appealed to Laetitia who is originally from Lyon.

Don’t you just LOVE how Jean-Laurent artfully juxtaposed the couple in their stylish black and white outfits with the graphic elements in the background? The result is striking!

After a casual stroll in the gardens and some risky acrobatics courtesy of Nicolas under the tender gaze of his beloved, they had cups of hot chocolate at a cafe and ended the session with laughter (just as it began).

Très Bien! C’est Magnifique!  Pardon but that’s about as far as I can go with my limited French.  I adore this love shoot and I’m happy that Jean-Laurent graciously shared these photos with us. The good news is that he is willing to travel anywhere!

I would be delighted to work abroad.  I love to travel! Actually, I am going to a French overseas island (Reunion Island) for three weeks in February and it will be the first time I do photo shoots outside of France! I can’t wait!
