Tangerine Wedding Inspiration: A Citrus-hued Vintage-themed Styled Shoot

Photographer Laura Kelly sent in these oh-so-lovely photos of a modern-vintage themed shoot and I couldn’t wait to share them with you since it might prove helpful if you’re looking for grapefruit, tangerine or orange wedding ideas and inspiration (tangerine being 2012’s color of the year says Pantone).  The details are sweet and pretty and the colors? Just yummy!

Here’s Laura:

This styled shoot was something I had always wanted to do, and the start of our inspiration came from the packet of candy Rockets! Instead of using a traditional candy bar to showcase this, we focused on fruits that went with the pink, orange, tangerine, and cream palette.

My cake vendor, Chrystal’s Baked Goodies, was really excited to handcraft a sugar peony to use on the cake (so what you see on the cake is actually all handmade out of sugar and gum paste and all of that good stuff!). It was hard to find peonies that were as gorgeous as the cake deco, but we managed to snag some pretty gorgeous bouquets. The flowers are by Coordination Wedrose.

In terms of the dress we wanted to keep everything vintage feeling, and that lead us to picking up a variety of antiques (starting with the old style phone and tea set).

I love the softness of this shoot, mixed with some hints of modernity like the glitter heels!
