Renee & Keith’s Downtown Boston Stroll and Public Garden Picnic Engagement

Renee and Keith had a delightful engagement shoot in downtown Boston, starting with a pleasant stroll along the water at Christopher Columbus Park and culminating in a playful lawn picnic at the Boston Public Garden which also happens to be the site of their proposal.

The lovebirds are both illustrators who have known each other since their art school days — much like my husband and myself which is why I was really happy to receive this submission from, once again, the wonderful Adam & Kelly of One Eleven Images. (Keep your eyes peeled for a sweet illustrated surprise in just a bit!)

Here’s what Adam of One Eleven Images had to say about the couple and the shoot:

Renee and Keith are very good friends of ours and Kelly and Renee go all the way back to high school together as best friends. We were honored that they wanted us to take their engagement photos in and around downtown Boston. We started the day at Christopher Columbus park on the waterfront and had the leisure to spend the day with them and hit many different locations around downtown, finally ending in Cambridge around sunset for a great view back to the city. Renee brought along props for the day including some favorite books of her and Keith’s, a great red and white blanket, and a nice small bunch of flowers. It was a great afternoon with friends and having two willing subjects all day is also a great plus for us.

Pretty Renee is also here to tell us more about her and Keith:

Keith and I met at the Art Institute of Boston where we both earned our BFAs in Illustration but it wasn’t until we were re-introduced a few years later that we started dating! We currently both work at an animation studio in Boston called FableVision where we spend our days being creative.

More from Renee:

Keith has always known that the Boston Public Gardens is my favorite spot in the city, and that is where he proposed in April of 2011. It was only a few weeks until my 30th birthday and I had been keeping a sketch blog of memories called “Goodbye, My 20s” throughout my entire 29th year. He helped me to end my blog with a bang! It was without question that we returned to the scene for our engagement shoot!

I couldn’t resist including Renee’s adorable cartoon sketches about Keith’s proposal! See the rest of the story and illustrations on her blog (but make sure to check out the rest of the images below too!)

Our wedding is set for August of this year and it’s going to be the best time. We’ve agreed that not much will change when we’re married. We’ll still be big kids having fun. 🙂

Such a cute artistic duo and what a charming shoot. Many thanks Adam and Kelly for sending this e-session my way, and congratulations on your engagement Renee & Keith!
