Indie Rock Love Song: Think About Me (Fleetwood Mac cover) by The New Pornographers

Tribute to Fleetwood Mac

I didn’t get to post a wedding tune last week (sorry about that!) but please let me make up for it with this catchy rendition of  Fleetwood Mac’s Think About Me. Penned by keyboardist Christine McVie, the song was a track in Fleetwood Mac’s quirky 1979 album Tusk and was recently given a fresh modern sound by Canadian indie rockers The New Pornographers for the album Just Tell Me That You Want Me: A Tribute To Fleetwood Mac, released just a couple of weeks ago on August 14th. The result is a bouncy and jaunty reworking of the rock classic that’s sure to get your guests grooving on the dance floor!

Some of the lyrics:

I don’t hold you down
Maybe that’s why you’re around
But if I’m the one you love
Think about me.

I believe that you really want me
But it’s not easy, just to give in
So let yourself go, and let love begin.

What do you think? IMHO it’s an awesome song you can use to get the dancing at your reception started! If you like it you can get it off Amazon for .99cents.
